Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Nalgene collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you visit our online store, place an order, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services in the United States.
Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identifiers and contact details, such as your name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, account details, and online identifiers.
- Order and commercial information, including products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order history, returns, exchanges, preferences, and customer-service records.
- Payment and transaction information. Card details are processed by Shopify and available payment providers; we generally receive transaction status, payment method type, and limited billing information rather than complete card credentials.
- Device and internet activity, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and approximate location inferred from an IP address.
- Communications, such as messages, call details, reviews, survey responses, return explanations, and information submitted with a privacy request.
- Inferences drawn from activity or purchases to understand likely interests and improve merchandising or advertising.
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the storefront, and from service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, carriers, analytics providers, and advertising partners.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to process payments and orders; deliver products; provide tracking; manage cancellations, returns, exchanges, and refunds; communicate with you; maintain the storefront; personalize content; measure site and campaign performance; prevent fraud and abuse; protect our legal rights; comply with law; and improve our products, customer service, and marketing.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies for essential storefront functions, cart and checkout continuity, security, preferences, analytics, and advertising. Browser settings may let you block or delete cookies, but disabling essential cookies can prevent parts of the store from working correctly.
Where available, use our cookie or privacy controls to manage non-essential technologies. Browser-based opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control where legally required, may also be treated as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for that browser or device.
Google Ads, Remarketing, and Conversion Tracking
We may use Google Ads tools, including remarketing and conversion tracking. Google and related partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure actions after an advertisement, limit repetition, attribute orders or visits, and show ads based on prior interactions with our store. You can manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings and can also use the privacy request methods below.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose relevant information to Shopify; payment processors; hosting, analytics, security, fraud-prevention, customer-support, email, and technology providers; fulfillment providers and carriers; professional advisers; advertising and measurement partners, including Google; government authorities when legally required; and parties involved in a business transaction. These recipients receive information for the services they perform or as otherwise permitted by law.
We do not make absolute promises that information is never shared. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money, but certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Subject to applicable exceptions, California residents may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; obtain access or a portable copy; request deletion; request correction; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where the right applies. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To submit a Do Not Sell or Share request, email Support@Nslgena.shop with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share,” call (410) 335-6471, use our available “Your Privacy Choices” page, or mail the request to 1796 E 10th St, Sioux Falls SD 57103, United States. Tell us enough to identify the browser, account, or customer record involved. You may also use a legally recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control.
Other Privacy Requests and Verification
Submit access, deletion, correction, portability, or other privacy requests through the same email, telephone number, or postal address. We may need to verify your identity using information reasonably related to the request. An authorized agent may submit a request when legally permitted, but we may request proof of authority and verification from the consumer.
Data Retention
We retain information only for periods reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including completing transactions, supporting customers, maintaining records, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable requirements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Third-Party Services and Policy Changes
Links or integrations operated by others are governed by their own privacy practices. We may revise this policy as our practices, technology, or legal obligations change. The updated date above shows when this policy was last revised.
